Zane found a batman pattern on a box of his toy and told me that he had an idea. I cut out the batman mask for him and using glue, he pasted them on his shoes. Of course this came off very soon after but this is his first craft that he created.
I spend a lot of time in a room that faces my small garden. I call it my Garden Room. I did a lot of handicrafts and writing there. Of course, that was before my beloved Zane who came to live with me. Nowadays, we do craft together.

Elephant wind chime from Phattalung
Phattalung is a very beautiful small town and we had a boat ride on the Thale Noi lotus lake. After the boat ride, we peeped at shops along the lake that sold crafts especally woven bags. However, the two wind chimes that were hung in one of the shops caught my attention.
One of the wind chimes is made of wood, beauticully coloured and with a tulip hanging down as a weight. Jenny and I wondered why a Thai craft used a Holland flower in its design! She bought it anyway because it was so colourful.
The other one is a black elephant wind chime and it cost only BHT150. The chime is made from coconut shell with some tiny fibers (coir) still attached to it. There is no colouring and it is this rustic unpolished natural look that made me fall in love with it. The elephants are almost black with some brown streaks coming through which i believe are coming from the original husk. The feathers at the tail are also brownish black and they act as a propeller. When I looked at it, I told myself that I would colour a mat on the back of each elephant. It is a challenge becuase the coconut shell with coir is very rough and it has some deep carvings on the surface, coluring it is difficult. In the end, I did it, with a little help from my little Zane.
